Meet Julie Ardoline, Office Services Assistant and Travel Coordinator for Clopay Corporation at the manufacturing plant in Mountain Top, PA.
As the office services assistant and travel coordinator, Julie Ardoline’ s daily routine ranges from sample processing to travel coordination
“I’ve arrived at work 15 minutes early every day since the day that I started," said Julie. “I use that time to set my goals for the rest of the day.”
Julie then dives into her emails, processing sample requests and cross-checking estimates. From there, she pulls requests, which range from color chips to slat samples. For larger projects, she pulls standard samples of door components, like brackets, hoods, guides, and bottom bars. Then, she sends out all of the tracking from what she pulled from the day. In between tasks, she’s booking travel and assisting with office tasks.
Her role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, so communication and collaboration are huge. Julie works with dealers, contract fulfillment representatives, estimating sales representatives, regional managers, and the Architect Design Services team to ensure the fulfillment of sample orders. From overseeing sample fulfillment to ordering from the shop and vendors, she spends a majority of her day answering emails and working in Excel, WebGen, and AS400.
Ensuring the quality of samples is a major focus of Julie's daily routine. Clean, impeccable samples are a representation of the quality of Clopay’s products. Her collaboration with the shop and quality control ensures that standards are met and exceeded.
"The essence of my work lies in camaraderie and the mutual support among my colleagues. The words ‘I appreciate you’ and ‘thank you' are more than a courtesy; they’re a reflection of the culture that defines our team's dynamics. Teamwork is very important," Julie emphasized.
Julie's motivation is deeply personal—each day is an opportunity to outperform herself and contribute to the overall quality of commercial garage door products.
“The samples that I provide are pieces of a larger puzzle,” said Julie. “They help us seal the deal on projects and are a key part of the specs needed to give the green light to jobs."
For Julie, her work is more than a job—it's a vital link that makes a difference in the quality and success of the company. She believes that people and teamwork are what truly define excellence.
"What sets us apart is not just our products but our vibrant community. The people manufacturing our doors form a cohesive unit, embodying values of teamwork and compassion," Julie concluded.
