The CrossingGard® Door with ThreatProtect™ elevates your existing emergency response plan with intelligent, automated action. Integrating directly with your building’s alarm system, it can distinguish and respond to different events. In a lockdown, it automatically closes to compartmentalize zones and secure occupants; in a fire, it reverses action, opening to provide clear egress paths.

This advanced capability is supported by multiple layers of fail-safe technology. Every system comes standard with a UL 325-compliant obstruction-detecting safety edge, battery backup for uninterrupted operation during power outages, and a key override for administrative control. Customizable to your facility's needs, models are available insulated or with a ScreenGard™ perforated curtain to provide first-responder visibility and daily airflow. The CrossingGard Door with ThreatProtect is an essential life-safety solution for schools, hospitals, and public venues requiring a comprehensive approach to emergency preparedness.

Standard Materials & Finishes

The CrossingGard Door with ThreatProtect comes standard with a steel counter-balance shaft and structural steel guides with powder coating to match curtain

Curtains are Galvanized steel with GalvaNex polyester enamel finish in Gray, Tan, White, Brown or Black.

The bottom bar comes standard heavy-duty extruded aluminum in mill finish.

Operation

The specialized ThreatProtect Operator features a battery backup that ensures the door will continue to operate in the event of a power outage.

This door also comes standard with a UL325 compliant sensing edge that prevents the door from closing on an object.

Sensing Edge

Smoother Installation and easy maintenance: Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille. This ensures a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The new sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance.
