The plug-in tool, known as the SmartSync Diagnostic Tool,brings up real-time electrical component, setting, and menu data that can be viewed by both Clopay Corporation Electrical Support Specialist team members and field technicians. 

User-friendly operation and hassle-free support.

After the SmartSync Diagnostic Tool is connected, technicians simply call customer service and provide them with the sales order number on the bottom bar of the door or grille. From there, customer support will work with the technician to resolve electrical issues with the APEX controller.

The SmartSync Diagnostic Tool can be used for:

• Light curtain issues with alignment, cable, and trim.

• Commissioning the door on new installations.

• Determining viability of functionality of electrical components on damaged doors.

• Troubleshooting issues with timer to close. 

The tool has a free, built-in internet service and automatically receives firmware updates, apps, and services. However, it does require AT&T or T-Mobile internet service. SmartSync will only collect data when it’s plugged in. Once the tool is disconnected, data collection is terminated to protect your privacy.
